Our client is an oil and gas company with international interests. Client has international exploration and operation activities in the Netherlands and abroad. In The Netherlands they operate several offshore platforms and number of exploration licenses. Further they hold significant equity in several non-operated gas developments and exploration licenses.
Client is currently seeking to meet for a Procurement Manager who will be leading the Dutch Supply Chain organisation for the organisation based in The Hague.

Position

• Leading the Supply Chain organisation in the planning and strategic acquisition of goods and services.
• Continuous improvement of the contracts and procurement and Logistics processes.
• Prepare and negotiate customized contracts with major suppliers, customers, third parties, and/or company subcontractors .
• Implementation and standardization of contract documentation.
• Handle invoice queries, identifying, valuing and confirming valid variations.
• Assist with periodic reviews of suppliers and contractors and issue of feedback reports.
• Work towards being a Business Partner and trusted advisor.
• Prepare award recommendations and presentations to Tender Board.
• Prepare, review, revise and improve all contract documentation.
• Manage large provisioning projects.
• Participate in the development of sourcing strategies and supply base management programs.
• Responsible for moderate to complex purchases / combined annual purchases of aproximately EUR 150 million.
• Lead team of six SCM professionals.

Job Requirements

• Educated to Degree Level, SCM Diploma, Professional Designation, HND (hbo) or equivalent.
• Approximately five to ten years Supply Chain experience.
• Ability to communicate fluently both verbally and in writing in the English language.
• Commercial experience and judgement and advanced negotiating skills.
• Sound knowledge of Supply Chain principles used in a offshore Exploration & Production environment.
• Good understanding of Dutch Law and the rules and regulations of working in an offshore environment.
• Strategic and analytical thinking.
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to integrate across functions.
• Excellent communications and presentation skills.
• Team membership skills and well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to discuss commercial conditions and understand technical matters.
• High degree of flexibility and willingness to carry out international assignments.
